Was driving along then the eml just came on from out of no where. Checked round the car no nasty noises and it seemed itself probably slightly sluggish. Carried on driving the car and the light just went out and never came back on since. Whats this likely to be plus can it still be taken to be put on a computer even though the light isnt on. Crank shaft sensor was changed about 5k miles ago and for the past 6 months the the car always looses revs when putting the clutch down to stop. Read about idle control vavle etc. just wondering if this could be relating to the eml coming on.

Could be idle control valve, maybe MAF. What engine is it?

You can't flash the codes on these and most scanners wont read the codes.
You'll need op-com or tech2 to plug it in.
