I'm confused.
Mr Cole, do you pay £80 a week rent for 2 adults and the baby ? Seems much cheapness, maybe depends on location but my friend lives in north London and rents from the council there and it's £110 a week for him alone in a one bedroom flat.

Just checked with mrs its £340 a month3 bed house not to bad a location either houses across the rd are all 4-6 beds lol

That is really cheap, rent here is £130 a week for old crappy flat built in the 1950s, damp, cold and noisy.
Get to watch the drug dealers in their cars if you look out of zee window.

Maximum discount levels for Right to Buy in each region
There is a limit to how much money you can get off the value of your property through Right to Buy. The maximum discounts available by region are:
£16,000 in Wales
£16,000 in London (unless your home is in Barking and Dagenham or Havering, where the maximum discount is £38,000)
£22,000 in the North East of England
£24,000 in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber
£26,000 in the North West of England and the West Midlands
£30,000 in the South West of England
£34,000 in the East of England (unless your home is in Watford, where the maximum discount is £16,000)

100% agree. Cant believe how these 'systems' have ever come into place.
Fucking stupid! Cant afford to have your own place? Dont move out or live on the streets. Cant survive with out benefits for kids e.t.c. then dont have them.

Everybody is entitled to join the housing register. EVERYBODY!!!
It just depends on circumstances as to where you fall priority wise
But eventually you do get something

I blame reticulous house prices
Bought my first house in 1997 it was £25,000!!!!
Sold in 2003 for £60,000
Bought my 2nd which was a 3 bed detached in 2000 for £50,000
Sold in 2004 for £110,000
God knows what they are both worth now but bet its double and they are years older!!!!
Minimum wage hasn't doubled in that time I can guarantee!!!

You cant just move in and buy them you have to be living in them for x amount of yrs before you qualify my missus has been in this house for 12 yrs so gets maximum discount. The house my sister lives in identical house in same street just sold for 120k but that needs work. Noticed that there is no discount listed for the south east on that list

join yes but getting anything thats a different story. i was once told by the women in the local housing office that a single white employed bloke like me has no chance. exact words she used. there was no point complaining about it as she was right.

i work full time and have been hear a year i have only ever signed on 1s and that was the worse thing in my life felt like they looked at me like i was bellow them i have only worked in 4 places sins leaving school and will continue to work.
people have got to think the benafits system will chaneg 1 day causing people who are claims benafits to be really worse off things do change and will change one day
