How do I go about fitting Cav rear discs to a 1.2 8V rear beam? Drums are wearing out and don't like them anyways.

Preferably can someone tell me in point-by-point form please? Thanks.

Really? I heard they gave more confidence when braking?

Back end locks up to easily under heavy braking, not my idea of confidence

I thought that myself but what about a bias valve? Read a few other threads & I think it's a bit much effort doing it. Might just buy a disc converted rear beam sometime down the line!

Hmmm, right I won't bother. I'd rather replace the drums than end up arse ways going down the road!

Drums can stop you just as well as discs, certainly on smaller road cars. (In fact one of mine has drums all round). Where drums fall down is that they overheat more quickly. That's not going to happen on your rear brakes so stick to the drums.

i have them on mine and theyre spot on. If they are fitted properly with the correct bias front to back you wont have any problems. Obviously if you dont then the back will lock up as stated and youll end up in a spin
