Mines based on the VW Motorsport shifter and cable setup, all CNC'ed one off stuff plus i am running 2 x F28's.
With single rear engine there is a simple way. take the turret off the top of your gearbox where the rob arm comes out of the rear of the turret cut it off, drill a hole in the back of the turret directly behind where it did come out and weld it on.
Puts the rod arm at the front of the box, seen it done a few times on single rear engine novas.
OR
just run a box which is designed to be cable shift and get longer cables.
What engine you running?
C20XE run a F23
X16XE run new shape corsa box (maybe even the 6speed)

the way im going to run mine like beardy says, it does make your gears select the wrong way round but you can make a gear stick that fixes that problem
