genuine just less than 40k
fairly long test and fair few month tax

engine seemed fine but you could tell it'd been stood for a bit, could probably benefit from a service if your fussy
all budget tyres had loads of tread although the n/s/f had a mark on the side wall. wheels a bit scuffed but otherwise a fine little motor

the elderly chap at the end of my street has sadly had to scrap his 1998 escort 1.6 that he's had from new. it had only had battery, centre and back box and two front tyres in its whole life. it only had 35k when it went for scrap the other day...
poor bloke was heartbroken and he's set me the challenge of finding him a car.
iv came across the above C. had a bit haggle and he's put a deposit down...
i have little experience of buying cars over the 2+k mark but i just wondered what YOU think it's worth and il confirm the agreed price in a moment...

kk, wey it was up for £3200 and i managed to knock him down to £2650. cant be robbed i suppose...

i just didnt want to see an 85 year old bloke get ripped off. fair to say job well done?

he was telling me today his first car cost him £10. it was a rover and it survived all the world wars, sure he said something about a jag v8 at some point aswell, it was hard to tell

all your ebay links are dealers, everyone knows dealers will be more expensive no matter what the car, you should gauge it on private sales to get a better idea of what they are worth in the market.

Edit: Think friend paid about 2.5k for his with around 30-50k. So John-D is on the money imo

When people ask what a cars worth i just think what i would pay personally for it...

id never pay £5k for an old shape corsa, can get a d sri for that
