Same still applies.
If you are getting the best price you can, outside of a private sale, you are getting the car for what it's worth.

My point was that you get the 'best' price going private.
All the dealers 'best' prices started at £1500 more than what the private market was saying when I bought my car.

That £1500 is for the peace of mind of buying from a dealer, + finance options etc.
Depends what you want, still what the car is worth.

I think we've established that 'worth' is open to said persons interpretation.
To some people paying £1500 extra for peace of mind makes a £10k car 'worth' £11.5k from a dealer. The true price of the car is still £10k.
Peace of mind on a car with 2 years warranty isn't worth £1500k to me and therefore the car would be overpriced.

Some people are tight arses. No one likes being ripped off but jesus... Probably the sort of person that wants to itemise and make everyone pay for exactly what they've eaten and drunk after a meal out instead of just splitting it evenly between everyone.

If you've got money to piss up the wall on a new car fair play. It like those who don't care about depreciation, must have money to burn.

to be fair it is quite annoying going out for a meal and cunts who order loads of food and drink where someone else might only order a small main then expect that person to pay 20 or 30 quid for one small main course meal?
