Salary is based on annual pay. So for me anyway, it is counted in with normal salary, no extra. But then if I took a day off later in the year, I would not be deducted pay.

What about the months every single year that have more or less days? You don't get paid extra for them.
It's a complete non question imo.

i base my salary on a leap year, i started working in a leap year, so basically the other 3 years in between i work 1 less day and get paid the same

What the question is, is if you get paid a set amount a year, do you get more for when the year is longer. Nothing to do with how much they get each month

For 3 years the year is a quarter day shorter, this makes up for the extra you get paid in those years
