hi all this is my first post.

I own a 1.4 corsa sport and am really struggling with the handling and with hopes of night rallying it would like to improve it ! so i would like some ideas that will improve this problem as it is very bouncy and soft and not much grip.

ive been thinking bigger wheels as the originals are very skinny, strut brace, coilovers???

suggestions needed??!!

thanks

Decent coilovers (Gaz seem quite popular and they do proper rear coilovers too)
Whiteline rear anti-roll bar
Removing the front anti-roll bar helps with turn in but reduces stability slightly, usually that's more of a personal preference whether you keep it or bin it.
Strut braces will help stiffen things up but I'm guessing with the night rallying it's likely to need a rollcage anyway so they could be incorporated into the cage.
And yes, wider tyres, 15in wheels with 195/50/15 tyres are generally thought of as best for handling on the Corsa B

Ah right, yeah strut braces might be worth the money then.

Anti-roll bars are a doddle, the front one is 8 nuts, all easy to get at. The rear has a bolt through each end and 2 u-clamps over the beam, couldn't get much easier.

Removing the front ARB makes quite a big difference. I don't have one on my Corsa, much prefer it for a track car, it makes quite a difference to cornering speeds although for a road car I think the front ARB keeps things more predictable which is always nice when you can never be sure what's around the next corner.

I've got a whiteline front arb on mine and thought it made a difference over the standard one. Its all personal preference! Good set of springs and shocks should be top of your shopping list IMO

Hey, Barnstaple! I like it round there, have family in the area too. Front ARB can be off in a couple of minutes - I had mine off and drove it round the block to try it out and then put it back on all within about 15 minutes

Rear arb for sure.

Having had the Whiteline on for a fair few miles now, id have to say the difference is not that noticable over the Cav RARB, however its deffinately different in certain aspects.
I think that could be down to how it fits to the rear beam...

thanks for all the feedback guys,

think im gunna take lower arb off first and see what difference tht makes then get a whiteline rear arb and deffinatly get bigger wheels and better tyres.

if im still not happy with all tht then coilovers and strut braces will be next
