Guy I know bought a house out there 2-3 years ago, for less than 40k

Not been before but meant to have (or used to have) the cheapest pint in the world.

Petrol is cheap in Egypt, but you have to have a car that you don't mind getting covered in dents

Pints arent the cheapest any more, worked out at around £2-£2.50 when I went Snowboarding there a few years ago

As said, quite heavily populated by gangsters/mafia sort of shit! Funny looking at a poorly made shack selling vegetables next to a blacked out AMG Merc or R35 GTR

I went last august and a pint was roughly 50p on the back streets but around £3-4 on the main strip, the place was a dump though and the food was shocking, and the 'mafia' are everywhere.

Plus there weren't many english people but loads of germans, dutch etc

I went to Sofia last year. Bit of a shit pit if I'm honest. I've heard good things about other parts of the country though.

Still had a good holiday because of the people I was with but Sofia isn't a place I'd bother revisiting.
