Constantly keep looking at these, (planning for a few years down the line)
This is the first one I've seen that hs now dipped below 30k, ok this one may have had a hard life (possibly) but i think within the next few years 25k will be the bench mark.

and just tipping over the 30 mark

BUT... i also think GTR's will be at 25K ish by then, or stick with my original plan.... M12

Yeah i know that part costs are high, but then if you can do the servicing to an extent yourself then that covers quite a substantial amount of the cost.

True, but then when it comes to selling I ont think many people will be wanting to buy a Aston that's been serviced at home, not saying you wont do just as a good job but you no what it's like when buying a car especially like this

I agree with Matt start servicing an Aston yourself and I think you will have trouble selling it on. Nothing to do with your ability but its all about perception.
Also I think you may find that even servicable parts can be expensive as you wouldnt exactly be able to use your local motorfactors.

sorry, yeah & i can imagine the S2000 parts would be a fraction of the cost, if they did a service plan were you paid say up front for the cost of the service for set intervals then any additional parts that it needed were on top that might work, not sure if that's possible though

Also its only got to take something to go wrong before you are looking at serious bills. I was talking to Tom about the cost of things when they go wrong on Porsches. The thing is with these cars you probably need to pay monthly for a warranty which then mean using dealership/specialisit servicing.....bit of a vicious circle I know.
I think the servicing costs wont be that bad but its more so of a shock if something needs replacing i.e shocks, brakes, tyres etc

This was brought up in that massive Evo post that was active a few weeks ago.... if you spend the extra 1000's having it serviced at a dealership or specialist, will you ever actually see that money again with resale?
It's pointless spending significant lumps of cash on a service stamp if you're going to keep the car for a long time and have the skills to maintain it yourself.

I see what you mean TBF, if you added up all the specialist service cost's ect then worked out roughly the resale minus the loss as it wont have service history it could work out about the same depending how long you keep it

Yeah, plus I think I might trust a car enthusiast more than a dealer nowadays when it comes to work standards on a car
