Wish i hadn't started this although should look better once finished.

i did start polishing it ages ago, while it was still on the car, but taken it off now to finished the bits i couldn't get to.

Its started out with this texture


and i'm using bits of sandpaper and my hand


This is it on the car, a bit manky as car has been getting a bit of rain on the front end


Getting rid of the texture, starting with 40grit paper




Then moved to 120grit




Just finished the 400grit



Literally taken hours and hours so far, all very exciting stuff for you guys

what cars that for?

looks a good job, keep wanting todo my rocker cover, but get bored

coming along nicely!!

Ive started to do a few bits in the past like a c20xe fuel rail but get bored after about an hour and give up

U could get a flt bed sander for under £10 from the likes of B & Q.

Not ideal but so much less work.

No one will even see it and it will be dirty within a weeks driving, lucky your car never goes anywhere I guess !

get yourself some polishing mops Jim, they make such a difference to polished metal. I must admit I regret mirror polishing my wheels, they are an absolute twat to keep looking nice

Should have painted it Black/Dark Grey, then polished the branches... Saves the bits inbetween looking shit.
