Has anyone had there wheels polished?
Should polished wheels be lacqoured or would it spoil the finish?
I've got a set of audi wheels I want to get polished and put on the golf daily driver, but I don't want them to be high maintenance as I've got the corsa for that!
Just want to beable to wash them and that be it.
Any help or a point in the right direction is appreciated

I've got polished lips on my cesaros. Mine aren't lacquered because it would be more of a pain if they started peeling. A good thorough polish when you first get them and some poorboys wheel sealant will keep them fairly maintanace free for a few months.

I've had a few set of lips polished for my split rims. Polished alloy is quite high maintenance to keep them looking fresh as it will pit and oxidise due to the elements, salt and road grime. Having them re lacquered is a good option but will slightly dull the finish, again over a few years if the laquer chips the elements can get behind it causing it to peel.
Other options for getting a mirror polished finish is to have them chromed

Might try and get a mirror finished and lacqour them then... I'd rather have a flatter finish then haveing to metal polish them every week.... Just want some soap and sponge action!

My Rota's have a polished lip which has been lacquered. Tbh they aren't actually dull. They have a shiney finish that im more than happy with. Still give off a good glare when the sun hits them.
