I had this issue with a N150 netgear router, it was fine apart from trying to game, that would just over load it and it would crash out.
If your connection is otherwise fine then I would think like said the router is faulty.

N150's seem to be crap, put a few out now and I think every one of them has had some problem.

thanks for all of the advice lads it seems to have sorted its self out other than a crap speed everything is all good now
