Check bottom of the rad and see if its expanded, rust on arches, rear bushes..

oil leaks from level sensor on sump, thermostat, leaky diff seals and gasket, dodgy window mechanisms

Unreliable compared to the 6 cylinder engines, mainly sensors. I would definetly be checking insurance on the proper engined coupes before buying a compact!
