was just wondering what any of you thought i should get done next for power on my c16xe next step seems to be an expensive one but what would you reccommend?, at the moment its running a lexmaul inlet a stainless 4-1 manifold stainless de-cat and full stainless piper system and some bosch super 4 plugs. thanks Tommy.

Ditch the inlet and run throttle bodies and management.
That's really the only way to go if your after more power. Not really much can be done after an inlet except cams and management.

Yeah i had a look on the piper website after reading this months total vauxhall im sure the kit was 770 without the pulleys so quite expensive, im sure the next step will be thou. Any other stuff apart from cams?

Cams and management I'd say. My x16xe was a similar spec as yours and thats what im doing to mine at the minute

Depends how deep your wallet is as tuning a small block can be expensive.
As a base with itb's about 150bhp then start adding other stuff on from that.
That's why most people just go straight with a c20xe as its cheaper. But there is no fun in that and the sound of bodies will have you hooked.

Thanks for the comments, il check out your project thread shaun yeah a c20xe was in the back of my mind as it wud b cheaper but im definatly going down 1600 route more rare on a gsi, il look into the throttle bodys aswel get rough ideas on prices and pick a route looks like i could have an empty bank balance thou haa

Tommy, can i just ask, did you need a x16xe lower inlet to put that upper inlet on?

If your running a c16xe with the original inlet, then yes you will have to change the inlet manfold to an x16xe one.

How about fit a power box to gain more top end power, light weight flywheel and pulleys? Cams and a unichip.

Cheers guys all sounds good and helps, sending u2u alex yeah Jed D i had to change my lower inlet to one off a sport x16/14xe then lexmaul wasnt to bad changing it but helps if u have little hands haa
