Easier and less work to just buy another centre section with flexi piece in for circa £30.

the cat is bolted onto the exhaust manifold and then a flexi then a front pipe there all the same part if you ebay x10xe cat then you will see the flexi , im just gonna try measure the bore tommorrow and get a new bit of flexi cheaper and easier then replacing the cat , but if it doesnt hold up i will replace the cat

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Corsa-1-0-12v-X10XE-1996-2000-Cat-Converter-/330530841914?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf52c653a
Surely not worth the hassle for £54?
