I'm using avo at the minute, and I'm down to the bottom, (looks about 60mm) an its bouncy as hell.

Ie sent to avo, they've checked and old me, the piston isn't moving up and down enough (due to lowness) so isn't absorbing the shock.

So im thinking of going to Gaz, but worried about same problems

Depends on the length of the piston they use. I expect it be be roughly the same size so you will encounter the same problems.

You will need shocks that are 3/4 of the current size to enable any piston movement.

also prefered the ride quality with my gaz over avo, thought avo's were crap, rusted far to fast and popped 2 seals in 6months they were fitted to the car

My friends avos on his rover are really good! Lowers by about 100mm and the ride quality is stiff but good!

Not sure exactly how low... but my car was almost scraping the floor and the ride was ridiculous, if you went over a corn flake on the road if felt like you were being propelled ten foot in the air.

TEIN is where it's at

You need to speak to Gaz and get them to custom made them for you. Dont buy any of the shelf.

Heard back from avo today, all they could suggest was moving spring seat up to the middle, which of course would raise te car. Pointless buying coilovers in that case

i have the opposite problem (not on a corsa)

And have one long one and no little helper one?

I have thought about some custom springs before, but gave up thinking about it.

I spec'ed mine up to run over 100mm low. Gaz used the extra low kit, with custom pistons that have been made shorter. Been ufing them over 3years and have never had a single prob. Gaz made fantastic shocks and coilovers.
