1.4 16V Standard sport.
I think i've got to the bottom of the problem, comments welcome.
Engine starts & ticks over ok, slight metallic rattle though.
As engine warms up there is a lack of power then the oil light comes on then the enginge stalls.
It will not then turn over & the engine is extremly hot basically its seized.
Oil & water levels ok.
When it cools down it will then turnover & restart.
Am i right in thinking it could be oil starvation.
Drained the oil out & there is alot of metal fillings there, now iam thinking oil pump, oil pressure relief valve or clogged pick up pipe or worse big end bearings.
Plan to drop the sump & investigate.
I think the metallic rattle is a sticking lifter.
Anyway of telling before i strip to much out.

if theres alot of metal filings in the oil it will all need taking out, stripped and cleaned and find where the problem is. better to pick up another engine

Had cross my mine after looking at the price of the pump, bearing shells, rings etc plus the top end rebuild. Might be quicker aswell.
