Ive just bought a vec c 1.8 life 2005
I have two keys for it, one fob does nothing but the other locks the car but won't unlock the car so will this one just have a knackerd button or will it be the chip?
Cheers

More than likely just a knackered button, take it apart and have a look to see if there is anything obviously wrong with it inside, just need a small flat blade, pretty easy to open up.

Do you just split it where the line goes all the way around? Don't want to knacker it lol

Normally just pull them apart.

The metal bit that goes in the ignition pulls away from the rest of it, on the opposite side of the buttons there should be a little groove to put a flat blade into, once that bit comes off the other bit with the buttons will come apart in 2 bits. So difficult to explain without physically showing you lol

Type into YouTube how to change a vauxhall key fob battery, top video should show you how to open up the key, but I haven't watched it.
