yeah thats connected right, got power coming into the coil, coil works to as i put it on old v8 and it turned that over so plenty of power in it. i tried putting a plug on the end of lead from coil and no spark still. so nothing coming out of the coil. i havent a clue now, all i can think of i engine earth? do i need to earth it somewhere to chassis, only current earth i have is going from starter to battery, then goes from there to bulkhead

Should be one earth on alternater to inlet then 2 from injector loom onto rail, then starter to negative, one to bulk head then box to chassis leg

The coil needs to be earthed. Take the paint off and have bare metal showing where the coil bracket meets the car body.
