putting this up for a mate ive tried helping him with the obvious stuff and still no joy car bumpstarts but wont start off the key.. wont jump start either now i had similar bother with my astra which turned out the triggger wire off starter had split at multiplug ign live... told him to try that but its fine any one any ideas as to why it wont start off the key starter just clicks cheers

Low battery or starter motor knackered.
If wiring to smarter is fine, try hitting with a hammer

starter has been repalced with a known working one battery has been changes aswell told him to do all this 1st anyways its stumped me tbh

also told him to run a permanent live to starter to see if itll start that way and still nothing its strange

tried earths going to try another battery and a thicker gauge wire gearbox earth tomorrow
