Does anyone know if its possible to have multiple Barclaycard credit cards?

I currently have one, but want to get another one to cover the honeymoon then balance transfer to it to get 0% for 22 months.

Is this possible?

Surely you can't get balance transfer benefits from the same bank?

I have 2 Natwest credit cards.

What Ben J said is probably true though.

Possible to have two. I had a Gold Card for years, then applied for Platinum with 12 month interest free but xfered the ballance from another bank all together so no idea about from one barclaycard to another.

I know my Platinum also offered 12 month interest free on cash xfer's though i.e. could just transfer money straight to your bank account and it remains on the card's balance.

I need to get a card that is free to use abroad. My current one will rape me if I use it in America.

Nismo.

I am sure Virgin do money transfers at 0% for a fee, so you can withdraw the money as cash from your Virgin card into your bank account, and then pay it off that way, no messing around getting another card.

I have done it before, its basically just 0% on purchases but is called money transfer or something like that

Try capital one.

Apply for whatever card they have, if you are sensible you are most likely to get accepted on the cards that arent as good, my girlfriend applied for the best card they do, she has never had credit before, they said no but offered her a shit card (probably hoping she runs up debt at high interest) but if you pay it off every month it doesnt make a difference.

Be careful with them though, they have signed my girlfriend up for PPI even though she said no and is now battling to get it cancelled

The 0% on purchases is for 3 months, the 0% on transfers is for 20 months.

This way ill take one of my other credit cards that has a zero balance, pay for the honeymoon on it, then transfer it over to the new virgin card straight away and then I have 20 months at 0%.

Works out no interest as getting a loan for the same amount over the same period of time and we would have about £300-500 interest to pay

Yeah that is basically the same thing, we did it on that exact same card, ring them up and see if you can still do it.

Basically you pay money into your current account straight off the virgin card, and they charge a small percentage like the balance transfer but then that is 0% for 20 months as well.

If they still do it, it will save you some hassle

If they do that would be cool! I think it's 2.9% fee for balance transfers, will have a look cheers mate!
