replaced my petrol flap, now, its shonky and it wont catch the plastic peg..

any ideas to why this is not catching it..

ive got a petrol flap off a 5 door and the peg is alot bigger than my old 3 door one

im not sure what the replacement is off, its the same colour as mine, might need to look at the peg..
