If it's Corsa B, get some new bushes from Vauxhall, they don't cost too much.
Jack the car up, put it on axel stands, undo the 13mm bolt that bolts the linkage to the bulkhead, slide the shaft so it's free. Next from above, you need to get the pin out that holds the linkage to the gearbox, then the big pin in the middle of the linkage.
Swap the plastic rod, and pins over to the new short shift linkage, you need to get the middle pin in first, a right bastard in the new bush. Then put the other pin in, slide the shaft back into the linkage.
Now you'll need a drill bits, pull the gear stick boot up, aline the two holes and put the pin in, on top of the gearbox turret, you should be able to see a plastic pin type thing wiggle the gear selector on the turret till the plastic pin slots in, get back under the car and do up the 13mm bolt tight.
It's a right fuck of a job on a Sport.
