I think we can see from this topic that you need to spend at least about £200 on cleaning products minimum to clean your car.

Used a similar thing at my old job that the manager had bought from Halfords. Covered the van in polish right enough, didn't do much for scratches though

That's cool, protecting your second biggest purchase (usually) in life by wiping grit all over it with salt based washing up liquid it doesn't make you a 'Boss' you just sound like a tit.

Plus you mention it everytime a detailing/cleaning thread comes up.

Eh? Firstly, it was a joke. Secondly, I don't think I've ever posted in a detailing thread before in my life?

Now who sounds like a tit....

For your common or garden bloke who doesn't profess to being a fully qualified 'detailer' from the university of zymol, can you go wrong with a rotary polisher for under £15- would have made my life easier last weekend and guess what, I don't give two shits about microscopic paint thickness or a swirl mark that is only visible under uv light at an angle of exactly 112 degrees from the bearing of the sun on any given day when at the end of the day, the car is clean, the paint is smooth and not dry and it looks good. In all honesty, I say fuck the expense and lOng live aldi

I bet I can achieve better results by hand in a quicker time than that £15 piece of shit and I am far from a 'pro' detailer.

Your post is just a standard issue generic anti-detailing interwebz haters comment tbh. Fuck all to do with aldi, just another thread for you to chip in your anti detailing comments IMHO.

I don't get why the haterz hate so much. Especially so called car enthusiasts

I cleaned the missus TT last weekend, I'm fastidious with cleaning, I spent well over 10 hours cleaning it-I'm no detailer but I can appreciate a clean car. I'm all for anything which would make my life easier and what I'm asking is if the ley person in the street used that polisher would it a) make life easier and b) make it quicker to clean a car?

I did a double meguiars 3 stage last weekend so 2 paint restores, 2 polishes and 2 waxes, I was so fuckig fed up of going over and over; my guess is one of these would have made the job twice as quick and had the same final effect
