A little lad around Derby who was diagnosed with stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma when he was 3 years old, 4 years ago

http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Lewis-Mighty-Fund/168731214213

http://www.lewismightyfund.org.uk/

Anyway, last night he was given 48 hours to live, and the parents asked on facebook if everyone could light a lantern or a candle for him at 2200, we only saw a couple from our window, but looks like a lot of people got together to support him

Just thought it showed the power of social media, and that occasionally people in the UK do care for people other than themselves.

Didn't you know? If a lot of people get behind a good cause, it's only because they are getting on the bandwagon.

No one is allowed to do anything charitable now ever.

Everything is all so internet nowadays. We should all sit in front of a PC in our pants and be cynical cunts 24/7.

That's a ridiculous argument, Facebook is just a medium for gaining publicity in your example.

If no charitable causes got any publicity, they wouldn't make any money.

Do you wave your arms at the TV and call bandwagon when Comic Relief/Children in Need is on?

In fairness, I should fetch my gun and finish the poor kid off myself tbh, wouldn't want people to think I'm on the bandwagon

And I'm not asking anyone to give money, just thought it was nice that so many people turned out to show their support for the lad. Even if they were obviously, massively on the bandwagon.

Been crap for Derby kids this weekend. Saw loads of lanterns flying past the house lastnight. Mighty by name, hopefully mighty by nature.

Passed away this morning said his goodbyes to his family and his dog over the weekend and accepted he was gonna die. Pretty horrible, but crazy for a 7 year old to sound so mature

At least he'll have no more pain or intrusive treatments

Always worse when it's someone so young! Poor kid! 4yrs suffering from cancer would be shit for anyone let alone a 7yr old!
