Carrick was one of the best passing midfielders in the prem last season, he was massively underrated. Would of been in my England starting line up ahead of most of the shitters currently in that midfield.

After thinking about it, i'd actually prefer spearing to Henderson. Edit to say
definitely Carrick before them two!
As for the standby list, its still a chance to play for your country, even if it would mean biting your tongue a bit Im sure if Richards got there most of the squad would joke about why he wasn't there at the start anyway

Roy said when he picked the squad that he was keeping faith with the players who got him there, Rio did nothing towards getting the team there, other than that he seems to be choosing youth, so Rio isn't picked.
He has been a good servant for England, but his time is up, hopefully a few more players will be retired after the euro's too, but we'll see.
Richards should be first choose right back tho.
Who's gonna partner Terry now? I hope Jones personally.
