Integra DC2 had these from factory, and is 1 of the best handling FWD cars to date.

Im pretty sure the new wheels i just bought have 2 of these fitted also and the road noise was alot more noticeable.

As far as I was aware run flats are usually louder.

Yeh they're run flats and they make a hell of a noise and tramline like a bitch!

A lot of people with Z4's tend to swap to Michelins instead iirc. I know not the same car, but same make and situation

Noisy but good, I use them. Good enough for an Aston, good enough for a golf.

Ahhhh.

That could be the issue. Is there anyway to tell if they are or arent? I think i saw a valve on one of the wheels, would runflats not have this?>

Had them on the 350z and leon don't like them, loads of noise didn't feel grippy and didn't seem to last long either.

I cant quite beleive how loud they are. At 80mph on a regular UK motorway that hasnt just been resurfaced, it was like being in my Z3m again that had no sound deadning and a bit o rag over your head!! My 14year old convertible is practically silent compared.

Usually had RF on the sidewall or just RunFlat.

Run flats still have valves, they're inflated like any normal tyre, they just have reinforced sidewalls which means that when they have no air pressure in them, you can drive on them withough ruining the tyre to get you home.

Run flats are marked on the side wall with RF or SSR usually.

They do generate more road noise due to the nature of the tyre, but I've never driven one that's really caused me to notice the road noise all that much.

Beidgestones are a top premium tyre, one of the most expensive you can get, so they're certainly not cheap rubbish.

That maybe but that level of road noise is horrific. Felt like I was in a Fiat Ciquecento at 100 on a windy day. Not 80 in a BMW coupe.

Expensive or not, grippy or not, they suck!

had both michelins and the Bridgestones and for me the Bridgestones are far better and last longer

i got 28k out of the rears on mine

They are slightly more noisy and become worse as they wear down - how much tread is left as mine were very noisy towards the end of their life

Just checked mine and its actually the 2 Pirelli's that are runflats. And its RE040's on the other 2 which i don't think are runflats.

Glad its 1 of the Pirelli's that need changed so will just fuk both them off and replace them with normal tyres.

I had them on my TT and were very noisy swapped to Dunlops and was so peaceful!

Dad's new BMW has come with Bridgestones on and says noisier than old one on conti's!

I won't put them on again after how much noise was reduced after taking them off!
