My wheels don't fit my Megane that I got from Ebay.

They were listed as Renault Laguna and Megane Wheels but the offset is only for the Laguna, do I have the right to return them ?

It said in the listing "Fit's most 4x100 Renault's" but it only fit's the Laguna Mk1 - Basically 4 stud with 50 offset.

The offset wasn't 100% sure in the listing, they said "offset of 50??" but when I collected them he said they would fit my Megane.

I don't want to have spent £100 on a pair of alloys I can't use, spent 10 hours cleaning them, 6 hours today and they don't bloody fit.

I don't believe it will be easy as I don't think it's a common size.

4x100 with a 50 offset.

They are nice wheels with decent tyres.

Can you not space them out 10mm or something if you like the wheels?

4x100 is a common pattern, and 50 offset gives alot more scope for fitment than a low offset when spacers are used

I did ask about spacers but the cost of them on top of the wheels seemed a bit steep.

I think you have no leg to stand on, especially as you collected them.

Was this from a business seller or a private sale?

It was from a Business seller, they said "We saw them on a Megane so we listed them as Megane compatible.

I think they do fit okay, kind of confused, they don't touch the chassis, brakes, suspension, rear axle, seem the same gap behind them then the OEM Megane Nervastella alloys, so rather confused, they seem tightly bolted on and looked safe to me.

I don't get the problem here?

Are you saying they fit ok on the car but you've read it's laguna offset?

So the pitch circle is OK, the centre bore is OK but the offset is higher?

Either live with that or sell them on.

The seller isn't obligated to take them back unless they're faulty.

I was worried that they would touch the chassis or something like that, from what I understood the offset is the distance from the plate where the wheel bolts up in relation to the center of the wheel so having a larger seems now the wheel would be further away from the cars body.

I just thought maybe it could cause problems but I hope it will be okay as I like them wheels a lot, hope I can still drive in a straight line.

Will continue to clean them and get them balanced.

Higher offset means the bolt face is further away from the centre line of the wheel so they fit further in.

Okay thanks for explaining that.

Only problem I could see from that is maybe on full lock they would catch ?

But I really don't think they sit that far in when compared to the previous wheels.

As you can probably tell I don't know much about offset, PCD etc so I didn't think they would fit at all due to the manufacturer stating that et 45 was the top limit.

I live in a flat and have some problems with my knee and back thanks to a tumour so I couldn't just roll out some wheels and go fit them hassle free.

WTF

Fair enough if you don't like them, I do.

And I didn't complain I just asked on here if getting them returned would be possible, already explained why I couldn't just fit them so easy.
