it would look so much better without the chin and rear spoiler but i understand they serve a purpose.

I couldnt agree more,
This is my favorite look.

Im seriously thinking about returning it to this look, giving it a fresh coat of paint and then leaving it.

Surpised that spoiler doesn't flex and pull through the fibreglass shell at high speed

There is a brace inside the clam to stop the flexing.
I know at 150 mph there is a force equal to 15st sat on the front splitter but dont know about the back, even if its just 1/2 that its still quite a lot of weight pushing down on the clam. I just made a metal brace bolted to the chassis and its very secure, you could actually tow the car using the uprights lol.
