Show her my link! Any real man should be able to use a 15% discount as justification and make her realise it's actually a bargain

She had laser eye surgery last year that I gave her £1k towards but we were'nt saving for anything at that time.

TBH I couldn't care less what she spends her money on and never question when she gets new clothes etc. As long as she puts what we've agreed towards bills/mortage she can do whatever she likes with the rest. It just so happens she saves it then moans when I spend mine.

She has her own savings that she's keeping to herself she could spend that on shoes, though I'm guessing she's keeping it hidden so she doesn't have to share it when she divorces him and keeps the house

great inputs from steve, as per usual...

Thats a concious decision we've made in order to move forward in the long term. It won't be back home it will be a separate out house at her parents where we were before we moved out, where we can put away £25-30k over 12 months for a bigger place, hence her concern over me spending money on anything other than our goal.

would the option of buying a Mac through the business and offsetting it against tax not be a winner here?

Or even better, edu discount and VAT exemption. That's difficult to do and you need to know the right people though.
