Abit fed up with the s4 best all round car I've ever had but uses too much fuel. Abit to refined for me I like abit of rawness if you know what I mean.

Been offered a Astra Gsi with a vxr engine. Abit worried about the 114k mileage on the chassis?? Seems he's wanting high end money for it, is it worth it. I said his car and a grand is the best I can do.

What do we think.

Love the S4! Do you really want to go from an Audi A4 to an Astra?
Just say you'll have a think about it, he's not gonna sell that Astra any time soon. See if you get any better part ex offers.

Mate I've been offered shit loads. Nothing's taken my fancy this has I wanted one a few years back.
Like I say I'm not bothered for an Audi they are too over engineered multilink suspension in a PITA! I had a fiat coupe before this and loved it! Nice and raw and unrefined
Just never fell in love with this car can't put my finger on why though :/ think most people think its an old mans car

astra gsi's aren't exactly renowed for rawness/good handling afaik.
i remember when i was looking at them and a lot of people on here who had owned them previously didn't recommend them.

Was a quick and capable car, just found it boring/numb and not very involving. Plus the mixing pot gearstick was awful.
