Now ive finished uni now its time to have a look at crazes ive missed out on, is there any way of trying it out for free instead of forking out the £16 and it being utter toss?

You could try "classic"

It's a free flash version.

Obviously the game is a lot about multi player but you can get an idea, I to didn't want to spend £16 on it for it to turn out to be utter poop, not made my mind up yet.

It (current official version is 1.2.5) can be had for 'discount' if you know where to look. To be honest though, i never understood the fascination with it; same with WoW tbf.

Sunz - Haven't played TF2 for a fair while, think i still have it on my steam account as well. CS1.6 (before steam) was where it was at; spent many of hours on that

My brother-in-law's kid was showing this to us when they were round the other day, he was really into it whereas I and everyone else were thinking 'WTF is this supposed to be about?' - maybe it's a generation thing lol

some of the stuff i've seen created looks amazing. but i don't think i have the patience or creativity for MC.
However new Sim City looks pretty good, might be worth saving your pennies for that.
