What settings were you using, shutter speed seems to slow.

his ISO is at 3200 so it looks like he was struggling with a combination of lighting but also lens, he has F5.6 as an aperture and looks to have not panned with the riders but waited for them to come into shot as the track looks to be fine in most of the shots.

I did struggle with settings yeah. I pretty much played around until I got them as best as I could.
I tried to pan but it didn't make much difference. I'm still a novice. My lens is 18-55mm and most were taken at full zoom.

set a single focal point on the rider you want to shoot, have it on AI SERVO and follow the rider from a distance and take the shot when you want.
