Some videos from last weekend.

2min 07s lap from testing on Friday, before I manned up and started hitting Druids in 4th with a dab/flick to scuff off some speed instead of braking and hitting 3rd:

Race 1. Good start but boxed in and had to back out, lost me a couple of places down to 9th. Had to fight back up to 6th. Got me pole for race 2:

Unfortunately my vbox battery died on the outlap for race 2. Gutted, lead for 2 laps and then some interesting goings on, none of it on camera

Pic entering Brittens on lap 1 of race 2:

That was a great watch, it's like mini btcc with all that contact

What Vbox do you have? I quite fancy one I like the data, speedo & map. Can you overlay it onto another video file, e.g. Go pro?

Video vbox lite. Its all edited together in the box real time so the video output there is straight off the memory card, I just add the titles and cut the cool down lap off, automatically starts recording when the car starts moving

You can do overlays using normal vbox and editing tools but I like the circuit tools that the video vbox comes with. You can load the video in with the gps data and see your line on film as well as the track overlay for your fastest sector.

Haven't installed it yet but I also have a real time lap timer for on the steering column so it displays green if you are faster through a sector than before so you can keep pushing in qually if its a good lap or back out and save your tyres for the next lap.

Was NOT cheap though

I've noticed, you have the Vbox so that is pricey

I was just looking at the Performance box

Does look like a good bit of kit if you are trying to push on!

What specs do these run? Is there a red one sponsored by Scalextric that races with you?

Scalextric sponsor the national mini series, they run different specs to ours.

Ours are essentially;
Fully stripped
Cone filter
Straight through exhaust
Control Superchip reflash (135hp-ish)
AST or LEDA control suspension
Uprated pads
7x15 Team Dynamics rims
Cage etc

National ones have to retain more interior, run the standard Cooper pepperpot alloys, different suspension, 6sp Cooper S boxes, JCW modified heads.

Do you run on slicks? There was one at Donington the other week it was only a little quicker than my Ibiza, but the little extra power mine has might have something to do with it

Yoko A048s up here, something similar down south. They don't handle as well as ours as they get so much more tyre roll
