Had Sky installed a while back and have never conected it to my home cinema for some reason
Its just an all one job from LG, nothing fancy.
Anyways, just watching the football and though it could do with being connected. Probably a daft queston but how do I go about this? Is it just a case of getting a lead with the Red/White/Yellow connectors or does something have to go via the TV?
There is a setting on the DVD Player of the home cinema which says "TV" which when I watch TV via the Freeview on the Tele works, but from Sky it doesn't.
Dont think i've got the booklet which it came with anymore hence my post on here before I start looking for it.

What Sky box and LG system have you got? And how have you got it connected currently?

Sky HD box, and the LG System is HT805
Sky is connected to TV via HD Cable, and LG system to TV via Skart lead. Nothing going between the Sky and LG system.

Optical audio cable from box to LG. Would have thought it'd have an optical in

You've got optical, so i'd use that; at least then you'd get 5.1 etc. Failing that, you should have a stereo pair (red/white phono's) which you can use for 2.0/stereo.
Also worth using the HDMI connection on the 805 if you can as well.

Only thing with Optical from the skyHD box is that the HD channels are really loud in comparison to the standard channels. I ended up getting annoyed and took it out in the end

Cheers lads
Cant use the HD connection on the LG as the TV only has 2 connections which are taken up by the Sky and X-Box. Thinking of getting rid of the x-box for a Wii so will change it then if I do.

One problem I had when going from the sky box to surround sound system direct is that the picture and audio were out of sync. And I don't mean a little bit I mean the audio was about 2 seconds before the picture. Had to go from the tv to the surround with an optical cable to get it right.

There's an audio delay setting on the sky box.

I was told that but when I looked for it I couldn't see it in the settings menu.
