Parents want a new Windows laptop, Ive not a clue about laptops. They like Dell but not fussed so long as it works

Uses - basic internet and office functionality and photo editing and tweaking (Photoshop elements etc.). Needs a 250GB harddrive min. Budget of up to £500 but as little as will suffice.

Go (please) - thanks

TBH around that sort of price range there is not that much between the various makes. I would just get the highest spec branded laptop you can find.

What ever you get, install LogMeIn on it

I can get laptops through the places I've got accounts with Robbo. They sometimes get in factory refurbished ones as well (still with 12 month warranty and all boxed etc. etc.) if you're interested.

Something that you need you could get for between £300-£400 with an Intel Core i3 CPU and at least 3GB RAM/500GB hard drive (cheaper if a refurb).

Dell and Windows its the only thing that will work.

Do not under no circumstances purchase anything else as John will internally combust and the world as we know it will no longer be worth living.

I think they are suggesting you can log in to your dad's laptop remotely if he needs help with it or whatever.
