bought my car 3 months back now. the bloke who sold it to me was a nice guy, but a bit simple.

now my tax is up in 7 days and i still have no log book (could've been lost in the post) and no tax reminder (doubt it was lost).

i have the new keepers slip still so how would i go about sorting the tax out? can't do it online as you need the reminder or V5C for that.

go to post office with isnurance cert, mot and new keeper slip and hand over coins for tax

You might not get away with new keeper slip though in post office, if they wont then either change the date with tippex or visit local dvla office

Change the date in new keepers slip and take mot and insurance with you. Did it the other week.

Some post office workers can be cunts. Ive delt with ones who dont accept copies, i think she wanted to see some coloured up and framed certificate.

Had the same problem (one of many) with the Rav4 I bought.

Taxed it with the new keeper slip etc and ask for one of these (or print if you find a printer)
