i went to naama bay last year and it was brilliant.
nabq bay is where my mate stayed and he said it was very quiet, but you can get a taxi into naama bay.
we stayed at the sonesta beach resort and casino and it was absolutely amazing. i want to go back.
only thing i will say is try not to die in the heat 45c in the day is bad enough, but it's the 30+ celcius every night that will make you feel like shit.

Depends what you want, we went to the Tropicana grand azure, Nabq bay and it was brilliant, the snorkelling was amazing, nice and quiet too.
If you want loud and lively obviously choose Naama bay.
And I wouldnt want to be going in July! we went September and temperatures were perfect, still hot, not ridiculous.

That's where we went, it was brilliant, we didn't do much outside of the hotel tbh, went on a few trips that we pre-booked, a stargazing one with nomads in the desert, and a snorkelling trip to an island, both of which were brilliant.
The hotel itself has a massive beach, and a pier that goes 1/4 of a mile out past the coral, really good snorkelling though as I said, the food was pretty good, the booze was annoying though, just got a little plastic cup at a time, so you'd be finished by the time you went to sit down

I went 2 years ago to the Three Corners Rihana in El Gouna. Was a really nice resort, all the people were friendly, the food in the all inclusive was better than i was expecting. There was a marina with restaurants 2 minutes down the road and a small town a few minutes in the opposite direction.
It was September when i went and it was still atleast 30 degrees! I'd definitely recommend it, only downside was the amount of Germans who try taking all the sunbeds by the pools

Went to Park Inn in Naama bay 2 weeks ago, fucking awful holiday.
With it being quiet on the tourism front with the current issues it meant that the staff and traders outside where constantly haggling you for money and tips, it really did get on my tits and couldn't relax. Add to that the food was awful.
Avoid that hotel like the plague. There's not much of a beach but the snorkelling is top notch
Personally won't be going back to Egypt but can be a good holiday if you get the right hotel, plus you are guaranteed constant sunshine. I'd also recommend the quad biking trip that was the best bit of the holiday

that bit was annoying but it's like that anywhere you go nowadays.
it's best if you go with or meet up with people out there. they won't bother people in large groups as it's not worth the trouble for them.
