basically i recently discovered that the whole way to pvs my exhaust had come out of one of its rubbers and has burnt its way through my bumper! Now i have burnt plastic all on my exhaust and wanted to know the best way to get it off without scratching all my tip?

Any advice much appreciated

heat it up and scatch it off with something then give it a good polish

Hmmm cant really as the scratches i would leave would be too deep if i use something metal to scratch it and if its hot and i use something plastic to scratch it that will just melt too haha! Should just u2u really donner your my helpzone answerer

Any pics and are you sure its plastic. If the exhaust has came off a rubber, then it will hang lower than normal. Not sure how its managed to burn something above it then.

But aye, just let it get warm then pick it off .

Will go take one in a sec, 100% its plastic as its burnt half of my bumper away! I hadnt put my exhaust on properly for pvs and it was just resting in one of the rubbers and it came out but the exhaust stayed rested on my rear panel underneath, so basically it just moved sideways instead of hanging down!

Heat it up with a heat gun until it goes soft then wipe it off with a cloth soaked in petrol. Should do the trick.

Maybe no petrol though if its hot. Cant see that going well.

Would a toffee wheel not remove it?

try heating it up and rubbing it with your thumbs might work

Heat it up so it's sticky then thinners it off make sure your wearing gloves, like the ones your college has for welding!
