we used some last year to try and soften off hard compound TA tyres.

It did make a small difference but I wouldnt use it again to be honest.

As far as I can tell it was nothing like hairspray.

Its name was something 'grip' and we got it from Demon Tweeks

Thinking of using it on some tyres for drag racing. Can't really generate enough heat you see.

not when your paying for the tyres yourself and doing a lot of runs

i use grip on my kart and make a big difference. i use it mainly because we do around 1/4 of a lap at the start of heats and final very slowly, then a rolling start. so need as much grip as possible on first lap before tyres start to warm up.into the first bend you'd think that youve already done a couple of laps with how much grip you have. but a kart if a bit of difference in size to your car. plus goes a long way on my tyres.i give them 5 coats. anymore doesnt seem to make any difference after that.

cheers lee, will give some a go. struggle to get them warm enough as i can't get the car to sit still.
