Went up tonight with one of my close friends for an hour's flight & decided to take the D90 to see what sort of shots I could get. Not that impressed how they came out, some are ok but as I was shooting through the canopy it killed some of the shot's. Any tip's & tricks for this sort of shooting would be great , any way pic's

This is the plane we went in, a low wing 2 seater turbo prop

Get the levels adjusted properly to take out the cloudiness, you'll be surprised at the difference!

your issue is the glass you are shooting through, all these need are a boost in contrast.

Get in the habit of doing curve adjustments on your photos. If using Photoshop then use the Adjustment Layers.

Here's an example of a quick curve for one of your photos.

I haven't tried any PP yet but this is my next challenge, what software did you use to edit that photo? That's what I want to do with all the other's to tidy them up

Yeah, as Gaz said it's Photoshop.

Other software will do the same or similar stuff.

Looking at photoshop element? Or Lightroom to start on any recommendations between the 2?

Lightroom should be sufficient for photo adjustment. Never worked with neither though, so couldn't say for sure.

I know we have a few Lightroom users on here, so probably some one will be able to give some advice in your other thread...
