When i bought the car it stayed of the gauge, and since my dad has used it, its will go half way or above
reguarly topped up with water.
ive noticed today it doesnt like standing still in a que , and rises..
any reason why this is happening?

if its a corsa b u have then mine is the same mate, sits at around 90 most of the time but rises to about 95 in traffic. best cure i have found is putting antifreeze in with the water seems to stay lower that way

older cars do this. They're cooled via the air flow of driving, so when you're still the temperature will slowly rise, but if you're fan is working properly, it'll cool the engine to prevent damage.
Worry and turn off the engine if it gets to 100 and the fan hasn't kicked in. Else don't worry at all. Also damage only occurs when temp gauge is in the red for a prolonged period

no i dont, just standard dirty engine bay..lol
