as they approach I just say there name or nickname really pronouncing each syllable quite loudly and i wave my hands about either side of my waist with the palms pointing upwards and a slight bend in the knees.

What do you say before hanging up the phone? Mine is always "see ya later mate, take it easy, bye" don't know why but it just comes out every time without fail.
