Just finishing off a successful fire in the back garden and have got through quite a bit of wood.
What's the best thing to do with the remains? Normally I just leave it to go cool then put it in the bin but surely this could have some other use as long as its kept dry?

Crush the charcoal and pile it in with the existing ash. You can use it for grip in the snow & ice.
We don't get any gritters anywhere near us to sort the roads, so we resort to other methods!

how do you know if there is a market or not, if there is a market for used socks then anything is possible. id bet every penny i owned if i advertised it on ebay i would make papers and news
