i think my manifold has a crack in it.
its a stainless one that has been wrapped. if i was to cut the wrap off could it be welded still on the car or am i best to get it removed?

very loud sort of tapping noise when ecotec is on at cold start up

I think most welders would want it removed, or at least most of it in the area.

doesnt have to be great, if it has to come off the i'd wrap it again. if it can stay on then as nice as possible

I can do it ye, I would rather have it off to make sure it's 100%.
Should not take long, if you bring it off that 10mins if one crack
