I bought an oil cooler from ebay .... Won it for a pound lol .... When I got sent it they had cut the pipes half way down ... Do you need an oil cooler to run a C20XE or do they survive without it ... I'f not ill buy brand new pipes not a big deal

Unless you're going to be on track etc a lot you probably won't need it.

How much will brand new pipes be?? I would try look for a decent set of 2nd hand pipes, if not, i would save the hassle and money and not bother with it.

my mate runs his xe without cooler n adaptor plate due to having smashed the adaptor plate from under and damaged the threads and runs perfectly fine, he has 1 of the best xe engines i known not a single problem other than that in 3/4yrs

Yeah I've never fitted the oil cooler on an xe, sump hangs low enough and has the fins on it. Can't remember having one on my nova turbo actually ether.

I'm not running one either and it is fine

I wouldn't be buying one off ebay either as you don't know what engine failure they might have had on a previous engine.

Could be full of god knows what,

Swarf etc,
New ones are that cheap it's nt worth the risk
