Be nice to overlay his location on maps as it was going on so you could get a bit of context, I've been there but I didn't recognise any of it.

He's in the Fountainbleau Hotel between Stardust hotel and Sahara hotel. Opposite side of the road is Circus Circus and the Echelon hotel they started building which ran out of money and stayed as a shell.
