I currently have my TV wall mounted but need some shelving of some sort to hold the surround sound amp/dvd player only needs to be 2 shelves. But want a wall mounted set up similar to this one http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/omnimount-tria-2-a-v-tv-bracket-02833284-pdt.html but after some think more easy on the eye and modern looking.
What have you guys done or used similar to this?

How about some retro shelving? these probably are not wide enough, but something similar maybe?

i used to have these which are similar to the link:
wasn't keen on them though, so just bought an under telly cabinet and left the vertical bit on the wall to hide the wiring.

Same for me, when we install big tvs in pubs we chisel the wall bury the wiring and fill over otherwise it looks shit! And we put the source (skybox) in a cupboard somewhere.
In a house I'd probably chisel a hole in the wall place some glass shelves and out the stuff in the wall that way the wires can run in the wall too, and then just make a door or leave it on view, could be done nice!

I think they could actually work quite well, haven't seen them up and they look alright tbf.
Yeah the wiring is giving me a head ache seeing it there but it's not permanent, having the sockets fitted in 2 weeks so the tv plug and surround sound plug will be behind the TV all cables will be hidden to, the rest is the wifi router ect not found a place for it yet (haven't long moved in)
