Anyone switched amid the recent price hikes?
Ive been with EDF energy for 3yrs now. Found them to be best of a bad bunch.
Just saw that they will be increasing prices by 10.8% in December.
Thats not cool!!

I'm with EDF and I looked at doing exactly the same today!
Cheapest I found was nPower.

I'm getting told 1st utility followed by N/Power.
Says i'll save £140 a year by switching.
Thing that gets me, I went on Uswitch about a week ago to see if I could get a deal & was told I was on the best rate by over 100 quid.
Strange how its swung so much, I think the websites a fix.

Just moved from Npower to Scottish Power fixed till December 2013. I generally dont have any problems (or any contact at all) with my utility providers, but I go from fix to fix with whoever is cheapest / offers the most cashback at the time of renewal

Energy companies are all toss bags.
Can't wait for the time when we can all be self-sufficient.

I just moved across to 1st utility. I don't think it's actually much cheaper than Scottish Gas who I'm with now. Scottish Gas however are complete idiots with bills which are far too complicated and terrible customer service.
Direct debit of £121 a month currently but I'm hopefully in enough credit with that to get through the winter.

Thats the thing there all there or there abouts with prices. EDF are good so i'll just stick. Plus ive had some right shifty experiences in the past with others.

They all follow suit anyhow. Makes me laugh that British gas say that their prices reflect ours and ours will go down if theirs does, I can't remember in past 5 year a reduction . They have us by bollocks and every few years squeeze a bit harder

I always wonder this but then then think maybe I am being too tight with the heating, my DD is £44 a month for elec + gas combined

Ben, have it on an hour a day for water and maybe an hour for heating although depends if the guy downstairs has his heating on cos if he does we have no need to put ours on.

Heating has been on in here for about a month now, water heats up when I need it.
I do have loads of electrical stuff and a big house to heat right enough.
